Compliant Electric Gates & Perimeter Security Across Glasgow & Greater Glasgow

CM Gates & Barriers designs, installs, repairs and maintains electric gates, automatic barriers and access control systems for homes and commercial sites throughout Glasgow and the surrounding area.

From bespoke residential entrances in Milngavie, Newton Mearns and Bridge of Weir to busy commercial and managed sites across Glasgow, Paisley and East Kilbride, we design each system around the property, the way the entrance is used and the level of security required.

With design, engineering, fabrication, civils, electrical works and automation managed in-house, we can deliver the complete entrance system and continue supporting it through servicing, repairs and ongoing maintenance.

What We Consider When Designing Gates Across Glasgow

The property, site layout and surrounding environment can all influence which gate, barrier and access system will work best. These are some of the factors we regularly consider across Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Gate systems throughout the west of Scotland, especially Greater Glasgow need to be designed with long-term outdoor reliability in mind. Exposure, drainage, ground conditions, gate construction and the positioning of automation and electrical equipment are all considered before installation.

Areas such as Milngavie, Newton Mearns and Bridge of Weir include larger homes where security, privacy and appearance are equally important.

We can design the gate, pedestrian access, intercom, automation and surrounding entrance as one coordinated system, rather than treating each element separately with our in-house expert team.

Not every Glasgow property has a wide, level driveway. Available opening space, vehicle manoeuvring, pedestrian movement and ground levels can all influence whether a swing, sliding or cantilever gate is the most practical option.

Commercial premises, residential developments, offices and other managed sites often need to balance security with efficient everyday access.

Vehicle flow, staff and visitor access, pedestrian safety, ANPR, barrier operation and ongoing maintenance can all form part of the overall system design.

What Our Clients Say

We’re over the moon with the gate. It’s fantastic!

G Lindsay

Highly professional and superb customer services!

We were not able to be there when the job was done and when we came home the job was completed and they then phoned to tell us what they had done and answered the questions we had and many months later no challenges .

Alexander Quinn

I wish we had found CM Gates sooner!

CM Gates are very helpful, professional, knowledgeable and all-round very good at what they do. I would highly recommend them.

We have had bad luck in the past finding a reliable company to install, fix and service our electric main and pedestrian gates and so are very pleased to have found CM. We are now on their annual maintenance contract which gives great peace of mind. I wish we had found them sooner.

Alexandra Orr

I have used the services of CM for 4 years now and have always found them to be very knowledgeable and helpful when attending.

They didn’t make or fit the gates originally but the company which did were very poor at the after service and totally unreliable.

I am so glad that I found CM and they have during the time have suggested and implemented changes to better the operation of the gates while they are prompt and organised when calling them out.

Brown Ferguson

Brilliant service and always quick to respond. They always make solid recommendations for what kit to use as well.

Dominic Bargeton

Here on top of the hill the weather can be a bit tricky, that said our gates, installed and maintained by CM Gates & Barriers cope really well!

Philip Cox

Many thanks to Calum for the work done today to get the Bedlormie gate up and running. Its good to know that ‘small customers’ are still much appreciated!

M Thompson

Great & professional service!
They arrived on time, sorted the fault and carried out the service as agreed.
