As part of a major transformation project at Dundonald Golf Course—including the redevelopment of the clubhouse and lodges—CM Gates & Barriers was appointed to provide expert advice, design, and installation of a new electric gate system to enhance site security.

The solution needed to integrate seamlessly with the upgraded facilities while preserving the visual quality of this high-end environment.

Key Challenges

This project presented several unique challenges:

• Sandy ground conditions typical of golf course terrain, requiring careful structural design
• The need to minimise excavation and groundworks
• Delivering a secure, compliant gate system without compromising aesthetics
• Coordinating works alongside a wider renovation programme

Our Solution

Working closely with the wider project team, we designed, fabricated, and installed a bespoke gate system tailored to both the site conditions and the architectural vision of the development.

The scope of works included:

• Two 5-metre metal cantilever gates
• Reliable sliding gate motor installation
• Radar-based exit loop
• Integrated safety mechanisms with full force testing
• General fencing installation

All elements were engineered to perform reliably while blending discreetly into the surrounding environment.
